Update through July 29, 2005
Work on the retaining wall is underway and should finish next week. Sod being placed on the south side of building and front of the building this day. Preparation for sod in other areas is also underway. Light poles for south parking lot have been set. Most furniture has now been moved into the building. Work continues on technology and communication areas and final touches in most areas. Lights are being installed in the kitchen and final partitions and accessories are being installed in the restrooms. All still on schedule for an on-time opening in August.

Update through July 22, 2005
Interior work coming along nicely with most of the furniture moved back into the existing building, new south addition, and lower level of the north addition. Still doing punch list items and buttoning up the technology and communication wiring. Most grading is now complete and ready for the landscaper. The retaining wall is scheduled to start on Monday (7/25), due to the rain stalling them off this week. Light pole bases and electric wire have been pulled for the parking lots and poles are scheduled to be set the middle of next week (7/25). Final fire alarm test is scheduled for the week of 7/25 as is the commissioning schedule for the mechanical equipment, which will be set early that week also. Sidewalks for exterior entrance to gym being poured this day and contractors are working on handrails and other miscellaneous metal items.

Update through July 15, 2005
First course asphalt has been placed for the northwest turnaround. Finish grading started adjacent to that and finish fill dirt being placed in the center section. Furniture has been moved back into the new south addition as well as the existing building. More furniture scheduled to arrive next week. Work underway on installing the audio visual projector screens, etc. Security and communications also underway and should be buttoned up the week of 7/18. Floor complete in the multi-purpose room and final touches being put on HVAC and other small elements of that room. Retaining wall to start the week of 7/18. Most of the equipment that’s been stored in the gym has been removed and cleanup of that area is underway. Fascia for the west entrance scheduled for the week of 7/18. Life safety inspections scheduled for the week of 7/18. Final punch of interior areas is scheduled for the week of 7/25.

Update through July 7, 2005
Still waiting for things to dry out so the northwest turnaround can be poured. It’s projected to be poured on 7/8, weather permitting. The finish to the approach to the south parking lot from 73rd Street is scheduled for that time also. Retaining wall area is still wet and now work there is scheduled to start on 7/18. South addition, existing area, and lower level of the north addition have all been punched. The contractors are in the process of making the necessary corrections. The fire and data wiring is still being pulled, terminated, and tested. Elevator has been inspected and passed. Upper level of the north addition is scheduled for punch on 7/8. Balance of the building (entry and multi-purpose room) are scheduled for punch on 7/25. Flooring is being installed in the multi-purpose room and base is being installed in the entryway. Flooring for the entry has been laid.

Update through July 1, 2005
Finish grading around the south end of the building. The northwest turnaround is graded and ready to pave as soon as the area is dry enough. Curb and sidewalks are in. The bridge has been set and some work continues in that area on the creek bank. Masons are washing down the exterior of the north addition. The new south addition, existing building, and lover level north addition have been punched and miscellaneous items are being corrected. Installing hardware and miscellaneous electrical, communications, and smoke detector items in upper level of north addition. The majority of the carpet is down and the majority of the ceiling tile has been placed. Elevator inspection scheduled for next week. Many of the contractors are in process of removing the majority of their equipment. Once materials and equipment are out of the multi-purpose room, the finishes in that area will start. Most of the HVAC duct work has already been installed in this area. Retaining wall scheduled to start the 11th of July.
